About

A little about us...

Our treatment philosophy

Raise your hand if your impression of Physical Therapy is something like this:

  • Hot packs

  • Bad massage

  • Maybe electrical stimulation or ultrasound

  • Somebody (maybe a therapist, maybe a tech- who knows) tells you to do some exercises while they count your repetitions

  • You’re at the clinic for maybe 45-60 minutes, but only see your therapist for about 15 minutes of that time

This is not the experience that you will have with Pinnacle PT!

We believe in providing the highest quality one-on-one care possible through working together and truly listening to your story. We also believe that this happens most effectively when patients have a true investment and sense of responsibility for their own care. This allows us to focus on your needs and come up with the best possible treatment to help you reach your goals. This takes time and skill that is not valued by insurance companies.

We are not in-network with any insurance companies (other than Medicare) because we want to focus on providing you with the most effective treatments possible. Often, insurance companies do not have your best interests in mind and will deny claims or reduce payments to the point that it is impossible to provide quality care. They may set arbitrary limits on the amount of time you can be treated with various techniques- without ever looking at your chart or medical history! We don’t believe that someone who has never met you and doesn’t know your story should determine what is the best treatment for you!

We believe that you are making an investment in your yourself!

Can you bill my insurance for Physical Therapy services?

Most insurance companies, with the exception of Medicare, Medicaid, and some HMO/EPO's, will provide reimbursement for services received out of network. This allows you to see the Physical Therapist of your choice, not the insurance company's choice. Our documentation and treatments still meet the strict legal and safety standards that all Physical Therapists are held to. However, with cash-based services, the patient takes a more active role in their care and reimbursement- allowing the Physical Therapist to focus on providing the highest quality treatments available!

We will provide you with an insurance benefits worksheet that will assist you with determining your Physical Therapy benefits. You pay the cost for treatment up front with cash, check, your HSA/FSA, or a credit/debit card. We will provide you with a receipt with all of the required information for you to submit the claim to your own insurance company.

We work for you- not the insurance company!

About Phil

Phil moved to Colorado in 2011 to be close to the mountains and loves being immersed in the outdoors. He has a passion for hiking, running, rock climbing, and snowboarding. He has a strong connection with the Colorado Springs community, and volunteers hundreds of hours per year with El Paso County Search and Rescue (EPCSAR) while also serving on the Board of Directors.

Phil served five years in the US Army and then graduated from Physical Therapy school at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. He has several years of experience working with active, older adults and enjoys the challenges and unique history that each patient brings to him. He has experience in the outpatient environment as well as home health care.

Phil started Pinnacle Physical Therapy because he noticed a gap in patient care that exists in the healthcare environment and believes that he is uniquely qualified to address that deficit. He believes that as long as you are willing to work together to achieve your goals, you will both be successful!
